Your Mission

As an Account Executive (SME Sales) at Payaca, you’ll own the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing. You’ll work directly with businesses at the forefront of the green energy transition, helping them leverage Payaca’s platform to scale their operations, streamline sales, and ultimately, accelerate the adoption of renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate & Qualify Leads: Use outbound strategies (cold outreach, networking, events) and follow up with inbound leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Conduct Product Demos: Showcase Payaca’s software with engaging, tailored demos that demonstrate how our platform helps renewable energy and home improvement businesses streamline workflows and win more business.
  • Manage Sales Pipeline: Develop structured follow-up processes, including automated email sequences and call follow-ups.
  • Close Sales: Guide prospects through negotiations, contracts, and onboarding with confidence and clarity.
  • Upsell & Cross-Sell: Identify opportunities for premium features, training packages, or enhanced support to maximise customer value.
  • Build & Maintain Relationships: Foster long-term client relationships to encourage renewals and referrals.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Share market insights with Product, Marketing, and Customer Operations to enhance our platform’s value for low-carbon tech businesses.
  • CRM Management: Keep our CRM system updated with all sales activities, maintaining a clear and organised pipeline.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals – and enjoy the rewards when you do.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Experience: Successful track record in B2B SaaS sales, ideally targeting SMEs within renewable energy, home improvement, or related sectors.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Proactive & Self-Motivated: You thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and take ownership of your pipeline.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools (Payaca or similar) and conducting online demos.
  • Passion for Green Technology: A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and helping businesses succeed in the low-carbon economy.
  • Data-Driven: Familiarity with Google Sheets / Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share insights and best practices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Commission:
    • New Sales: 10% of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) for the first 12 months of each contract.
    • Renewals: 2% of MRR for ongoing subscriptions after 12 months.
    • Training & Upsell Sales: 7% commission on premium services and training packages sold.
    • Accelerators: Earn 15% commission on revenue exceeding your target by 20% or more.
  • OTE: £65,000 - £100,000 per year, with top performers realistically exceeding £100,000.
