Stop wrestling with clunky, editable PDFs and the chaos of manual data entry. We're excited to release custom HTML document templates, a new way to generate documents directly from your Payaca project data, that look great on all devices or printed out.

This feature unlocks a powerful new workflow:

  1. Collect your data from anywhere: using custom forms on the field app, by your office team on the web, or even via an API.
  2. Generate your document using a new HTML template.
  3. Payaca instantly merges your project data into a professional document, styled exactly as you want it.

This process completely replaces the need to manage inflexible PDFs for data entry. Now you can capture information seamlessly and output it beautifully.

How to get started

  1. ⬆️ Upload: Add your custom HTML template from the 'templates' page in your settings.
  2. ⚙️ Generate: When viewing the 'files' section on any project, click the 'Generate document' button and select your new template.
  3. 💅 Preview: Payaca automatically pulls in your project data (like customer details, system specs, and pricing). You can preview exactly what your customer will see.
  4. 🚀 Share: Generate the document, which is then saved to the project. It's now ready to share with your customer through the customer portal or send directly.

This feature is perfect for replacing static PDFs with branded, responsive documents. For example:
